Pete Malia and Ian Roberts Memorial Match – Sunday 8th August

In recent weeks we have lost two members, who have contributed massively to Roundhegians,. Pete Malia and Ian Roberts played for the club for many years, but after they finished playing they continued to contribute to the club in helping to organise and support the club.

On Sunday the 8th of August 2.00pm kick off we will be holding a memorial match to celebrate the enormous contribution these two men made to the club. The two teams will be managed by Jim Malia and Charles Quick and will involve those players who have recently come through from the colts as well as regular 2nd team players and Vets. It should be a great festival of rugby!!

Supporters will be welcome to cheer on both teams and there will be a collection by the Yorkshire Air Ambulance who will be at the entrance to the club with buckets to collect for this worthy cause. There will also be a raffle on the day. Please remember to bring some cash so that you can make a contribution.

The clubhouse bar will be open but there will be bbq  food available and a bottle bar outside. The bbq and the bottle bar will be cash only purchases, so please remember to bring enough cash for these purchases.
